Well lalaland thats your opinon however its definaitely a dealbreaker for me and is one of the reasons I wont be buying a ps3 till probably Q4 2007 or 2008 maybe even 2009 when the games warrant the purchase. However I will be buying me a 360 this holiday cuz I'm not a hardcore fanboy, I decided to take a wait and see approach and after playing on my brothers 360 for hours and hours and with Gears of War coming out I'll be buying it with that game because its a true system selling killer app....
If you want to watch movies buy ps3. lol. If you dont give a flyin f*** about blu-ray or HD-DVD like myself and is in it for the games buy a 360. 360 will be enabled to output NATIVE 1080p for both games and movies when the fall update hits and Splinter Cell DA is a native 1080p game. Sony wont charge you but devs will or it may all be free but features that you get for live for your 50 dollars wont be enabled across all games for your ps3 such as cross game voice chat for ALL GAMES, matchmaking, gamerscore, achievements, rankings, video chat, cross game invites, free demos, game with fame, and of course the greatest thing ever made: Bringing it Home.

What truly surprised me is that attach rate. 5 games PER console. HOLY SH!T. That is completely unprecedented for ANY console. And I have no doubt that it shall continue to grow thorugh 2007.

This is my most anticipate game of the next gen. The graphics, the scope of the world, the speech and facial animations aer all truly unrivaled by any other game on ANY platform. Cant wait.

I understand completely why microsoft is doing this. Cheating is becoming a problem for live so microsoft is doing this to help us. And besides if you care about rank then you SHOULD play with people on your skill level.
top gamer what games are you looking forward to for the ps3. I personally think heavenly sword and lair are going to be AAA but thats about it and they have been delayed. It seems microsoft was right not to include blu-ray or hd-dvd in their console. Im glad because the games are still great and the console costs 200 dollars less than the rival console.
And as a side note I dont care what any sony dev says, if Oblivion a game that looks great and has 200 hours plus of gameplay is only 4.2gbs then dvd will be sufficient for ANY game.

Great read. It really brings to light on how there are alot of unanswered questions regarding ps3. Very important questions at that. I personall dont think there will be an event before the launch. I think that sony just wanted tgs to hype the ps3 and get gamers to forget about the online, the linux, the rsx etc. I think they are banking on the hardcore to snatch up consoles which they will and of course they wont care if the online is ready or not.

I am really anticipating this game. The atmosphere is amazing. It really makes gives you the feeling of fear and anxiety. Even though the graphics are amazing as well, its really the gameplay that has me intrigued and I fully understand why microsoft wanted this game exclusive.
1. Itagaki said that Ninja Gaiden couldnt be done on the ps2 because it only had like 1/5 or 1/6 the power of the xbox.
2. To Astaroth and Enforcer of the BullSh*t DOA is a pretty good fighting game. Tekken and VF are pretty lame although I loved Tekken 2. Soul Calibur is definitely the best fighting game in my opinion.
